The Hasty Bake Legacy 131 promised to be the ultimate all-in-one charcoal grill and smoker, and in many ways, it delivers. The build quality of the grill and racks is impressive, and it handles both grilling and smoking well. However, I was disappointed to find a misalignment between the top lid and body, leading to an improper seal and excessive smoke leakage. Additionally, the rear left leg doesn’t sit flush on a flat surface, affecting stability. For a brand known for quality craftsmanship, these issues are unexpected and frustrating.
I had never seen a Hasty Bake other than in online videos and pictures. I really liked the design of the Legacy so decided to get one. It’s very versatile and can do many different things and makes them easy to do. I was very pleased with the quality and all the accessories available. Very happy with the Legacy!
Arrived in timely fashion. Well packaged and in perfect condition. Assembly was simple. Break in burn and the following day a 9# pork butt in Ohio in Dec. No visible defects .
Used the grill for the 3rd time yesterday to cook some tri tip steaks- used a charcoal chimney to light my coals-steaks turned out amazing.
