This is a replacement Lift Mechanism for your Hasty Bake grill. The lift mechanism is the unit that raises and lowers the firebox to allow you to grill, bake, or smoke. This includes the lift bracket, arms, channel, indicator needle (except for the 270 and 290 models), and all necessary hardware to attach the lift mechanism to the grill.
It's very important that you measure the dimensions before ordering a part. If your grill was made before 1988 your dimensions may be slightly different, or your crankhandle threads may be a different size. If your crank threads are different, then you will need to replace your lift mechanism as well as the crank.

I installed everything and it looks fantastic!
I have reached back out to your service department out about the thermostat guard not fitting my Continental 84, because the holes don’t line up correctly with the handle holes and the thermostat hole. I am waiting for a reply to tell me whether I was sent the wrong part. They asked me to send pics and I did that.
The grill looks almost brand new with the replacement parts.
Next, I will see if they make a rotisserie for the Continental 84. I will probably go ahead and order the upper grate because the old one is extremely rusty.
Anyway, I am so happy to have a Hasty Bake again!
I purchased one back in 1995 and wore it out, until the bottom rusted out.
I’m glad I have an all stainless grill this time.

I think you need to put the name of the grill on it so when you buy it used,you know which one you are buying parts for. Also, tell us when you order the grill, that you need two of them. Would have been nice to know.
Hasty Bake Lift Mechanism
Rebuilding my Hasty bake was a breeze. Parts easy to install and Hasty bake services excellent.
I have a ~25 year old powder coated Legacy, and after replacing the lift mechanism and firebox/grate, I feel like my grill is ready for another 25 years. Everything was great and the installation was very easy (about 6 screws and nuts). I have been eating from this grill all my life, and I love Hasty-Bake.
